We are a search firm seeking to fill key roles for our clients in photonics and other related area.
This role is for a contract Fiber Optic Technician in the Washington DC Area. Call Mr. Al Siano for more details at 732-671-0589.
Assemble Fiber Optic (FO), and Opto-Electronic sub assemblies, assemblies, and systems. Mechanically assembled fiber optic sub-assembly and integrate with electronics.
Performance-test fiber optic components and sub-assemblies before integration into aerospace laser transmitter under the direction from the engineering staff.
Fusion splice FO assemblies.
Assemble optical fiber terminations and operate microscopes for validation purposes as necessary.
Build prototypes for the Engineering Department.
Work with the engineers to help improve FO systems design or manufacture
R E Q U I R E M E N T S
- Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in fusion splicing. Experience with polarization-maintaining fibers and alignment desired. Familiarity with environmental vibration, thermal, and environmental testing for telecommunications and/or aerospace flight qualification is desired. Familiarity with fiber bragg grating, optical isolators, high power (5-20W) diode lasers, power meters and polarization-maintaining fiber desired. Must be able to take directions and keep progressing. Follow verbal directions from engineers to perform FO assembly testing independently.
